The Upper East Regional Minister Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih has sent a consolatory message to the rank and file of his party, the now opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as he bowed out of office.

In an interview on Dreamz FM on January 3, 2025 ahead of his exit from office on January 7, Dr. Bin Salih encouraged his party members to stay strong and not be low-spirited.

The NPP and its government was seeking another term in office in the December 7 election after serving two consecutive terms.

It, however, lost the election in its most humiliating  defeat since 2000.

Dr. Bin Salih, who was a member of the government, emphasized the need for the party to stay strong in its trying moments and restrategize to wrestle power in the next election.

“To members of the new patriotic party, they should not be downhearted. In every human institution, what has happened to us is a natural course.”

“There are times that you are up and times that you are down. When you are down, you strategize, put yourself in order, and prepare for another takeover. And I believe strongly that we are going to come back stronger as a party and form the next government of this country,” he stated.
