President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has downplayed comparisons between his government and the government of former President John Dramani Mahama in terms of performance in various aspects of the economy and improving the livelihoods of the people of Ghana.
According to President Nana Addo, making such comparisons amounts to comparing chalk and cheese.
In an interview on Kumasi based Wuntumi Radio monitored by dreamzfmonline.com, the President laughed off claims being made by the opposition National Democratic Congress and its flagbearer John Mahama that it had performed better than the current Nana Addo led administration.
“I have to be honest with you that our record and his record is chalk and cheese. There is no comparison between them whatsoever. It is politics and everyone is talking so he (Mahama) is also saying his part. On the 7th of December the Ghanaian people will speak and I’m confident with the support of the almighty they will speak well,” he said.
The President further argued that former President John Dramani Mahama superintended over the worse economic performance in the last 30 to 40 years with all indicators pointing to the most terrible situation in Ghanaian history.
“It doesn’t worry me,” he stressed.
The President’s Media engagement forms part of his tour of the Northern, North East, Savannah and the Ashanti region.
