President John Dramani Mahama has submitted a list of 13 person to Parliament to be considered for appointments as deputy ministers.
The President has also nominated the Member of Parliament for Tempane Constituency Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba to be considered for appointment as Minister of State, Public Sector Reforms, a statement from the Presidency signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson to the President said.
This comes after parliamentary approval of nominees for various ministerial portfolios and their subsequent swearing-in to assume office.
President Mahama had pledged to form his government within 14 days.
He, however, could not comply with his own timeline as he was only to fill the vacant substantive ministerial positions by the 14-day timeline.
The latest nominations draw the number of his ministerial appointees close to the 60 mark he promised not to exceed.
