NPP UPPER EAST REGIONAL CHAIRMAN, LAWYER ANTHONY NAMOO

According to the Upper East Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party, Anthony Namoo, the 2024 elections are the turn of the NPP to secure victory in the Bongo Constituency.

He opines that the decision to vote out the incumbent MP, Edward Bawa by delegates of the NDC speaks of the rejection of the party in the constituency and has therefore, given the NPP an upper hand.

Lawyer Namoo, who has the task of helping to deliver more seats for the NPP in the Upper East Region, holds the view that rejecting the MP during the primaries already speaks of the people’s dissatisfaction of the NDC and its MP’s performance.

The Bongo Constituency is yet to be won by a political party other than the NDC.

With what he described as massive development by the government, he is confident that the people of Bongo will see reason to vote for the NPP in the December 7 polls.

“The NDC has held this seat both parliamentary and presidential for 32 years and as I indicated, the NDC went into their primaries and changed their MP. It’s a sign that even the rank and file of the NDC are not happy about the performance of their MP and by extension, the performance of the party the logical conclusion is that Diana Aburiya should take over because since we came we have done so much even though not much has been given to us,” he stated.
