The Apuwongo Community in Bongo District of the Upper East Region has honored Catherine Dede, a dedicated midwife, who before her transfer, served the community for over 12 years.
The recognition ceremony took place on Sunday, May 2, 2024, during a community durbar focused on fundraising for local development projects.
Mrs. Dede’s tireless efforts in healthcare delivery, according to the Community, had a profound impact on the community, particularly among mothers who received her care during childbirth.
Her dedication and kindness earned her a special place in the hearts of the people.
Assembly Member for the Area, Roger Abugre praised Mrs. Dede’s unwavering commitment, saying, “She worked tirelessly for over 12 years, establishing strong bonds with the community. Her affability and devotion to her work are qualities that will never be forgotten.”
