MILITARY ARMOURED CAR INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT

An armored car accompanying the President in his tour of the Upper East Region has been involved in an accident with a police vehicle on the Bolgatanga-Navrongo road Thursday, October 8, 2020.

Though the cause of the accident is not immediately known, some eyewitnesses say the police vehicle was apparently driving recklessly or was putting on a display leading to the crash.

Four terribly injured military persons have been rushed to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

The team of military personnel from the upper east region who were deployed to offer protection to the president’s convoy were reportedly accompanying the convoy to the Regional House of Chiefs where President Nana Addo was headed to meet chiefs from the region.
