OLD STUDENTS OFFICIALLY PRESENTING THE UNIFORMS TO THE SCHOOL

Old Students of the Bolgatanga Senior High School, otherwise known as Tangabiisi, on Thursday, February 27, 2025, presented army cadet uniforms to the school’s Cadet.

The school has an army cadet, a band, and a fire cadet, with the army cadet benefiting from the donation.

This presentation fulfilled a pledge by the Old Students during the PTA’s handover of a refurbished dining hall and kitchen that Tangabiisi would present the next items.

The Cadet Corps of second circle institutions have become an integral part of ensuring discipline and security in the schools.

Presenting the Uniform on behalf of the national executives, Timothy Abiiro Ayine, Vice President of Tangabiisi, described the donation as one that allows them to pass on the legacy of excellence, discipline, and patriotism.

Mr. Abiiro added that the donation of the 40 pieces of military cadet uniforms is a demonstration of the unwavering dedication of Tangabiisi to the advancement of Big Boss.

He believes the Cadet Corps offers a platform for the training of future leaders who would emerge to be disciplined, resilient, and selfless.

The National Vice President urged the beneficiaries to respect the honour of wearing the uniforms as he assured the students and authorities of more interventions by the Old Students to improve the welfare of students.

“Many of you will recall that during the commissioning of the refurbished dining hall, I, on behalf of national executives, made a solemn pledge—that the next significant donation to the school would be spearheaded by the old students. Today, we stand tall, fulfilling that promise. This is not just an act of generosity; it is a reaffirmation of our steadfast dedication to the advancement of BIG BOSS. As the saying goes, a promise made is a debt unpaid, and we are here to settle that debt with honor.”

“A well-equipped cadet corps is more than just a parade of uniforms; it is a training ground for future leaders, instilling in students the virtues of discipline, resilience, and selfless service. To the cadet officers, these uniforms are not mere attire—they are a badge of honor. Wear them with dignity, knowing that you are ambassadors of integrity and excellence. Let them remind you that you stand on the shoulders of giants who came before you, and it is now your turn to uphold the proud legacy of this institution.” He urged.
