Dr. Alhassan Samari, a former Upper East Regional Minister and National Advisory Committee Chairman of the Alliance for Change, has expressed unwavering confidence in Alan John Kyerematen’s victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Speaking at Mirigu Chief’s palace as part of the Alliance’s Upper East Regional campaign tour, Dr. Samari attributed his support to Kyerematen’s exceptional leadership qualities, including competence, transparency, and transformational vision.

According to Dr. Samari, Ghana’s 36 years under the governance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) have yielded economic crises, necessitating a change in leadership.

He emphasized that Kyerematen’s presidential bid is centered on uniting Ghana, a departure from the traditional party affiliations.

Dr. Samari, who served under former President John Agyekum Kufour’s tenure from 2006 to 2009, joined the Alliance’s campaign team to vigorously promote Kyerematen’s candidacy.

He highlighted Kyerematen’s exemplary leadership as Minister for Trade and Industry under President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, demonstrating his ability to drive growth and development.

The former regional minister noted that Ghana needs a new kind of leadership that will propel the country into becoming one of the economic giants on the continent.

With his innovative leadership, Dr Samari noted that Kyerematen aims to harness Ghana’s natural resources, reduce unemployment, and promote industrialization.

“Kyerematen is poised to bring about the change Ghana needs,” he added.
