Former Upper East Regional Minister Tangoba Abayage has paid glowing tribute to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
With just few days until the president and his government exit power, the former appointee of the Akufo-Addo administration said, “I’ve always maintained that posterity is a greater judge and I believe that soon and very soon it will be just so for you”.
While acknowledging that the president just like any other human being is fallible, she stated that he has always meant well for all in his dealings.
She recalled, with gratitude, how accommodating he was towards her when she called on him at his Nima residence in 2010 and the numerous opportunities he has offered her especially in his government.
These opportunities, she said, have shaped her and propelled her to the top echelon of political leadership.
Expressing gratitude to her now former boss, she stated, “Tangoba today is because of you yesterday and the shot you gave me at life! You took me along in your government for four incredible years and even when I was out of office you gave me priority audience at anytime”.
“I owe you this personal honor and admiration, Mr. President. I’m not your spokesperson and so will not speak for you but I’ll speak about the you that I have come to know and admire,” she added.
