St. John Bosco College of Education in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality of the Upper East Region has held its 13th graduation ceremony, marking the completion of studies for 318 young men and women, who have been trained and licensed as teachers.
The graduation ceremony marked an important milestone for the young teachers, who are now equipped to make a positive impact in the education sector.
The ceremony, which took place on Thursday, February 20, 2025, saw the 2023 class of graduates being sent out to be engaged by the Ghana Education Service (GES) after successfully completing their degree programs.

The graduates’ academic achievements were impressive, with 18 obtaining first-class honors, 153 securing second-class upper division, 104 achieving second-class lower division, and 28 earning third-class honors.
In his address to the congregation, the Acting Principal of the institution, Dr. Rudolph Nyaaba, congratulated the graduates on their commitment and dedication during their time on campus. However, he noted that 14 graduates had issues with their results that needed to be resolved.
Dr. Nyaaba encouraged the graduates to reflect on their school days and cherish the memories. He emphasized that “Teaching is not just a profession, but a noble calling that requires leadership with integrity, fairness, and responsibility”.
As they embark on their teaching careers, Dr. Nyaaba urged them to uphold these values, inspiring and shaping the minds of future generations.
