Member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) , Awal Mohammed has asked Ghanaians especially youngsters to reject the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC’s) ticket in the 2024 elections in order to secure their future.

Awal believes the country will lag behind the fourth industrial revolution if it elects the NDC’s duo; John Dramani Mahama and Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, who have both attained the age of retirement.

This, in his view, will worse the country’s situation and deny the youth of the numerous opportunities the fourth revolution presents.

He is, therefore, urging them to stick with the NPP that offers them a better pair.

According to him, the NPP’s ticket comprising Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is an economist, and Dr. Mathew Opoku-Prempeh, a medical professional, will implement policies and programmes that will well position the country to reap the benefits of the revolution.

“if you are a young person who wants to usher Ghana into the 4th industrial revolution to secure your future employment, choose wisely: vote for Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Napo,” he stated on social media.

“We can’t hand our destiny into the hands of two pensioners”.

He is certain that the NPP flagbearer’s passion for digitalization will bring Ghana at par with advanced countries in terms of technological advancement and its impact on development.

The world is moving into the 4th industrial revolution, which is hinged on digital technology.
The NPP chose Dr Bawumia, a 60-year-old economist and a champion of digital advancement, as Vice President.

He selected Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh a mid-50s-year-old physician and four-time MP as his running mate, thinking about the future of the youth.

On the other hand, the NDC chose a 65-year-old historian and retired former President Mahama, who is on pension and receiving an allowance every month until he passes away.
Mahama also chose a septuagenarian, a 78-year-old retired English teacher, as his running mate – two pensioners.

So, if you are a young person who wants to usher Ghana into the 4th industrial revolution to secure your future employment, choose wisely: vote for Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Napo.
We can’t hand our destiny into the hands of two pensioners.
