The Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga East Constituency, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine has said that there is a seeming attempt to hoodwink the people of the area into voting for someone not capable of managing the affairs of the Constituency.
Dr. Ayine, in an address moments after filling his nominations to officially contest the election, told the gathering at a rally that his opponent is attempting to deceive them.
Accused of being temperamental, Dr. Ayine disclosed that he would always say things as blatantly as they are.
Being the first MP for the Constituency since its creation in 2012, Dr. Ayine is seeking a 4th term in office.
He reminds his critics of the construction of over 80 boreholes, the Zuarungu Library and market, facilitating the construction of the Gambibgo Community Day School, Zuarungu Senior High School wall among others.
The Lawmaker urged the people of the constituency to reject any form of attempt to hoodwink into believing that his opponent is a better option.
“Things are happening in this constituency and I keep quiet over them. Many of you hear them say the MP is temperamental but I don’t get angry for nothing. I have what we call, righteous anger. When there is nonsense taking place, I don’t mind who is involved, I will tell you to your face”.
“The person that the NPP has chosen is trying to scam the people of this constituency. He will go and sit on the radio and talk about how he helps people but when people go to his house, he will desert them and run to Tamale. So, is this person you want to vote for?” He questioned a cheerful crowd that responded with a loud and emphatic no.
He urged residents of the constituency to vote for Former President John Dramani Mahama for him to reset the country.
