Upper East based rapper, Nambawan known in real life as Clement Ayamga is unhappy with event organizers in the region for undervaluing the craft of musicians based in the region.

Speaking in an interview with Dreamz FM, Nambawan said event organizers look down on the crafts of musicians in the region and therefore, poorly pay them whenever they engage their services for an event.

He bemoaned that payment for the services of musicians based in the Upper East Region is too meager that they cannot even recuperate the cost of producing songs.

This, he opined, is detrimental to the growth of the Upper East music industry and therefore, demanded that event organizers place value on their crafts and pay them what they truly deserve for their services.

“let’s be frank with ourselves, what we are taking from event organizers for shows isn’t enough because we pay for production to have our songs recorded. So event organizers should this time around be ready to pay us more,” he stated.

Nambawan is not the only musician who is displeased with organizers of events in the region over payment for their services.

Early this year, Showbowy accused event organizers of exploiting musicians to enrich themselves.
