Musician Patapaa has given Lynx Entertainment’s signee, Kuami Eugene a three-day ultimatum to apologize to rapper Guru otherwise he will release a diss song directed at him (Kuami Eugene).
According to him, Kuami Eugene disrespected Guru who is his senior in the music industry by disclosing that he rejected his request for collaboration on a song. He said musicians in the industry have always collaborated on songs as it is beneficial to all the artists involve in the collaboration hence, there was no need for Kuami Eugene to make a fuss about Guru requesting for a collaboration.
He stated that he already has issues with the 2020 VGMA Artiste of the Year and will not hesitate to release a song dissing him if he fails to apologize to the ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hit maker in 3 days.
“What he did is disrespectful. Musicians have always assisted each other whether under same label or not and if a collaborated song becomes a hit, you both benefit. Look at Keche’s song that he featured on, he has benefitted from the song more than Keche. So if you won’t collaborate with him, you don’t go to the media to disrespect him in that manner. I’m giving him 3 days to apologize or I’ll diss him. He has already offended me so I won’t spare him if he doesn’t,” Patapaa stated.
Kuami Eugene had, in an interview, revealed that he refused to collaborate with Guru because he disrespected his boss, Richie Mensah of Lynx Entertainment. He has since been criticized by a section of the public who believe his comments are disrespectful to Guru.
Guru himself also replied him denying ever begging for collaboration as claimed by the Lynx Entertainment’s signee. He said it was rather Kuami Eugene and his label mate, Kidi who expressed interest in collaborating with him hence, he decided to reach out when he felt the time was right. He cautioned the ‘Open Gate’ hit maker to mindful of his attitude towards his colleague as he will not be in the limelight forever.
But Kuami Eugene’s boss, Richie Mensah wouldn’t have none of that as he jumped to the defense of his artist stating Kuami Eugene did not disrespect Guru in anyway.
