Orijin, one of Guinness Ghana’s flagship brands, kicks-off an exciting nationwide talent search in the fields of art and music dubbed, Orijin Untamed, on October 13th in Bolgatanga.
The zonal auditions will extend to Kumasi, Accra, and Takoradi in subsequent months.
Orijin Untamed is on the lookout for exceptional spoken word artists, singers, rappers, and mixed media artists who are passionate about showcasing their authentic talents.
Orijin Untamed was recently introduced during the launch of the brand’s new campaign, “Celebrating Orijinality.” This campaign serves as a tribute to the celebration of authenticity and self-expression.
Marketing and Innovations Director at Guinness Ghana, Estella Muzito said: “Creative artists and musicians aged 18 to 29 and residing in Ghana are invited to participate in Orijin Untamed by submitting a 1-minute video showcasing original work that reflects Orijin’s core philosophy of ‘Orijinality’. These submissions are meant to take a judging panel through the participants’ creative journey and will be evaluated prior to auditions which starts in Bolgatanga.”
“We want to be able to provide a platform for authenticity and innovation and ‘Orijin Untamed’ seeks to do just that as the platforms will empower and showcase individuals with creative talents”, she added.
Finalists from the zonal competitions will progress to the grand finale. During the grand finale, all finalists from the zonal competitions will once again showcase their talents, with the ultimate winner being awarded with an GHS80,000.00 cash prize.
Marketing Manager of International Spirits and Ready to Drink brands at Guinness Ghana, Yaa Amoah-Owusu, reiterated Orijin’s commitment to nurturing creativity in Ghana.
“This nationwide endeavor provides a distinctive platform for talents to gain recognition and contribute to reshaping their respective fields. We firmly believe in the abundance of untapped potential and talent in our country, and Orijin Untamed is the ideal stage to discover and celebrate these talents.”
“To enter the Competition, the Participant must submit a 1-minute video showcasing their talents in art or music; the video must include a visible bottle of Orijin (with the new label) and uploaded unto participant Facebook or Instagram page with the hashtag: #OrijinUntamed and tag @Orijingh. The Participant shall be notified if they are shortlisted for the next stage of the Competition, the zonal competition, through a social media direct message from any of the official social media handles for Orijin Ghana per each zone” she elaborated.
The zonal competitions will offer shortlisted candidates a platform to present their talents to the creative council. Following Bolgatanga, auditions will proceed to Kumasi on October 20th, Accra on November 3rd, and finally, Takoradi on November 11th with the final competition in December.
