Speaking in an interview on Tamale-based Radio Tamale, the rapper asserted that it is wrong to put the two on same measuring scale in terms of the waves they have made in Ghana’s music industry because they have not been presented with equal opportunities.
He contended that while he strived with limited support to breakthrough, his arch-rival got great opportunities including good management, who are influential and call the shots in the industry, to propel his growth.
Describing Fancy Gadam as being lucky in his music career, the rapper said he would have been bigger and shot into the international scenes if he had got similar opportunities as the singer.
“Fancy Gadam cannot be compared to me. The opportunities he got, I have not gotten any of such. He got a lot of opportunities; big time management. The kind of management he got, the whole of Northern Region, no musician has ever gotten that.
His manager could just pick a phone and call top stars like Sarkodie, Mugeez of R2bees, Patoranking for feature with him and he will have it. His management even had a say in the VGMA board. I don’t have that. Fancy is just a lucky guy,” he stated.
