Musician, Peter Famiyeh Bonzah known by his stage name, Fameye says he will be disappointed if he does not win the coveted award (Artiste of the Year) at both the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) and 3 Music Awards this year.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM on Friday, February 12, 2021, the 2020 VGMA New Artiste of the Year stated that he worked hard in the year under review and thus, he deserves to be recognized at both awards.

The ‘notin I get’ hit maker who is confident of being nominated in the coveted award category said music lovers can bear testimony to his outstanding performance in the year under review and will be disappointed if he is not declared winner of the 2021 Artiste of the year.

“This year, I’m hoping to see myself in that category. This time around, I want the main Artiste of the Year. I think I worked hard enough to bag that award. So I’m hoping to win both 3 Music awards and VGMAs. My fans will be disappointed if I don’t win Artiste of the Year and that will make me disappointed as well because they know what I did last year and still doing now. So they know their artist has worked enough to get that recognition,” he stated.

His comments come after both award schemes opened entries for participation in the 2021 edition of the awards.

Charterhouse, organizers of the VGMA announced opening of entries of submission for nomination in January, 2021. Musicians and their record labels, per release by Charterhouse, have until February 15, 2021 to submit entries for consideration.
