Vice Chancellor of the Bolgatanga Technical University, Prof. Samuel Erasmus Alnaa has reaffirmed the commitment of management to make the institution a university of first choice for students.

According to the Vice Chancellor, there are ongoing efforts to transform the institution including improvement in infrastructure and other needed changes that will make the stay of students not only comfortable but also fulfilling since they will have the needed environment to excel academically.

Prof. Alnaa was speaking Wednesday, March 1, during the university’s 21st matriculation. The ceremony saw the vice Chancellor announce that the university admitted 1,208 fresh men and women made up of 690 men and 518 women.

This happens to be the university’s highest admission since attaining technical university status in 2020.

The now Bolgatanga Technical University prior struggled to get students as many were drawn to the technical universities.

It is the desire of the university authorities to make the institution more attractive through improvement and practical-oriented skills training.

This was re-echoed by Prof. Alnaa as he addressed students on the occasion of the 21st matriculation ceremony. He also announced the introduction of 24 new demand-driven programs.
