Over 2000 children from Zuarungu, Bolgatanga and surrounding communities thronged the premises of Blue Sky Hotel to participate in the free annual kids party organized by the hotel.
The annual children’s party is held to bring together children from Zuarungu and surrounding communities to have fun and enjoy some meals.
Over the years, the event which is held on 2nd January has become the preferred destination for children within the catchment area.
This year’s edition was heavily patronized with an overwhelming number of children, a development management of the hotel have said exceeded the expected number of children.
Managing Director of Blue Sky Hotel COP Patrick Akolgo noted that a projection of an estimated number of between 1500 to 2000 children was made. However, the pouring out of kids on the day pointed to an overflow.
The excited kids were treated to good music and variety of meals to begin their new year.
Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga East Constituency Dr Dominic Ayine, District Chief Executive of Bolgatanga East David Amoah took turns to address the children.
Also in attendance were Old Vandals of the University of Ghana and Old Students of Bawku Secondary School.
