Former Executive Director of the Danquah Institute Gabby Asare Otchere Darko has said Ghana is lucky to have Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as President.

According to him, the aspiration to lead the nation and ascend the position of President has been the dream of Nana Addo from childhood, a reason he will not jeopardize the progress of the nation after realizing that dream.

Gabby Otchere-Darko stated emphatically that no Ghanaian President has worked as hard as the current President to obtain the position, a feet and character he continues to exude in managing the affairs of the country.

“There is a great opportunity for us as a country, there is a lot [and] we know that we haven’t done anything close to unleashing the talents and wealth and value of this nation. We are lucky enough to have a President who did not just by chance or accident become President. He dreamed about this, worked for it and I don’t think we have had a President in this country who worked as hard. He worked hard,” Mr. Otchere Darko said on Accra based Asempa fm monitored by dreamzfmonline.com.

He recounted the childhood days of President Nana Addo and his encounter with struggles for liberation and democratic establishment, which formed the bases for his desire to be a leader.

“He worked for years; from 1998 chasing this dream and he saw it. This is a man who was here before Ghana and he saw the struggle. He saw the dreams and hopes that went bizarre or busted because of bad leadership,” he added.

While offering justifications for government’s decision to take up the controversial Agyapa deal, the private legal practitioner who doubles as transaction advisor on the agreement indicated that the Special Purpose Vehicle is in the best interest of Ghana as it will offer Ghana the opportunity to be adopted by multinational companies with interests in Africa and its minerals which will make better returns.
