It brought together stakeholders from the various sectors of the economy, who highlighted challenges in the e-commerce space and proffered possible solutions to dealing with them.

Addressing the meeting on various topics, the stakeholders urged the youth in the region and the country at large to explore the numerous opportunities in the e-commerce space so as to grow their businesses and create employment opportunities to help curb the high rate of unemployment in the country.

Hub manager of Dansyn ISO, Stephen Maldima Tobigah, who spoke to Dreamz News on the sidelines of the event, explained that the meeting sought to bring stakeholders from the various sectors of the economy under 6 pillars (namely; Human Capital, Support, Market, Media and Culture, Finance and, Government and Regulations) and create a string of relationships among them and trainees of the hub.

He added that the organization has churned out many trainees and needed to create such a collaborative and consultative platform so that they would be able to have access to these stakeholders for the needed support in growing their businesses and thriving in the digital market.

He indicated that his outfit will make follow-ups to the stakeholders under the various pillars to ensure that they are resourced and equipped to offer support to the trainees.

“The purpose of the stakeholder engagement is to make sure we bring all the stakeholders under 6 pillars and create that relationship among them so that the trainees that we churn out will be able to seek support from these pillars so that whatever they want to create, they will be able to create them.

Aside that, the hub will make follow-ups to make sure that these agencies are provided with the support that they are supposed to offer the trainees. We can’t keep on churning out trainees, expecting that they will use the skills and we don’t have stakeholders within the region supporting them,” he stated.
