The Assistant coach of Ghana under 20 male team, the Black Satellites, Salifu Fatawu has fulfilled a promise he made to Bolga FC, a Division Two side based in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.
Coach Salifu Fatawu, affectionately called kiyoyo, promised the president of Bolga FC and the entire team a customized set of jerseys during last season’s Division Two League campaign.
On Sunday 17th October, 2021, he fulfilled that promise by presenting the customized set of jerseys to Bolga FC, also known as ‘The Royals’ during the team’s first pre-season match at the Mobile Astru Turf field.
In attendance during the presentation session were the National Female Under 17 coach; Coach Mallam Nuhu, Coach Abukari Damba, former Black Stars player and goalkeepers trainer; Coach Wilson Burton, the bank roller Of Zorko United Sporting Club; Mr. George Afari and Nicholas Ayine Ayidah, the managing Director of Soccer Masters who doubles as the administrative secretary of the Upper East Regional Football Association and Coach Salifu Fatawu himself.
The jerseys were presented to Michael Abilba, president of Bolga FC alongside Atanga David Agana, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who doubles as the assistant coach of the club, Mba Kenneth, the Physical trainer of the team and Aduko Cletus Akosah, the Communication Director Of the club.
Bolga FC have qualified for next season’s MTN FA Cup campaign and the gesture by coach Salifu Fatawu will serve as a motivation which will go a long way to help the club succeed in their quest to prove a point in next season’s league as well.
