Multiple award-winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah has reportedly been shot by unknown gunmen.
According to his Road Manager and PA, Nana Dhope, the self-acclaimed dancehall king was driving when the gunmen accosted and shot him.
He is said to have been rushed to a health facility in Accra and is currently at the emergency ward receiving treatment as his condition is said to be critical.
Nana Dhope, however, indicated that the musician is responding to treatment and called on the public to pray for him.
Shatta Wale celebrated his birthday yesterday, October 17 and social media was awash with goodwill messages celebrating him. On Microblogging platform, Twitter, the #Shattabration trended as fans and colleague celebrities took to the social media platform to celebrate him.
