Entertainment journalist, Gloria Akpene Nyarku-Acquah popularly known as MzGee has resigned from Media General, owners of Kanda-based TV3 and 3 FM.
In a post on social media announcing her resignation, MzGee explained that her decision to quit her job at TV3 and 3 FM is because she believes “it is time to fly higher”.
She expressed gratitude to her now former employers for giving her the opportunity and the platforms to further grow her career in the media space, describing her 2-year stay at TV3 and 3 FM as memorable.
“This is to express my profound gratitude to Media General for making my stay memorable. It has been another opportunity for tremendous growth. I truly appreciate the platforms granted me to give GH and beyond great highlights! But, it is now time to fly higher! May God be our guide in all our endeavors!” she stated in the post.
MzGee joined Media General in November 2019 after resigning from media conglomerate, Multimedia where she worked for several years.
Her decision to leave Multimedia at a time her career was flourishing in the media space, she had explained, was to pick up new challenges and prove that she was not being favored at Multimedia.
During her 2-year stay at Media General, she hosted various entertainment programs on TV3 and 3FM including ‘Simply Showbiz’ and the entertainment segment on TV3’s flagship morning show, New Day.
