Ghanaian Record label, Sarkcess Music owned by rapper Sarkodie has apologized to fans and viewers of the ‘Black Love Virtual Concert’ following the crashing of the hosting website, CEEK.
The crash made it impossible for some prospective audience of the concert to have access to the website and resulted in delays in the commencement of the concert.
The pre-recorded show was scheduled to go live on CEEK, an online streaming platform, at 6:30 PM but had to delay because the hosting website had crashed rendering it inaccessible to viewers.
The record label in a statement explained that unexpected traffic led to the crashing of the CEEK website. It added that the numbers that had signed onto the website exceeded the hosting plan hence the glitch.
While apologizing to the viewers of the concert and fans of its artiste who had encountered such hosting errors in signing on to the site, it also expressed gratitude to the teeming viewers of the concert. The record label also announced a repeat broadcast of the concert.
“The Artiste, management, partners and the entire Sarkcess Musi6Label deeply apologize to our many patrons, fans and followers who registered on CEEK.com with the fervent hope of experiencing the heavily advertised CEEK Black Love Virtual Concert slated for the evening of August 16th 2020 headlined by Multiple Award-winning Act, Sarkodie,” it stated.
In spite of the technical hitches, the concert was said to be successful. Viewers of the concert were treated to great and energetic performances on splendid artistic stage step up that made viewing pleasant.
The concert has been trending on social media with many social media users commending the stage set up and expressing their excitement about the surprise performance from Shatta Wale coupled with the ‘reunion’ of Sarkodie and Shatta Wale.
