Newly appointed Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac has named a 32-man provisional squad for next month’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 double header qualifier against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
The Serbian tactician who was unveiled as the head Coach of the senior national team on Friday, September 24, 2021, has already began preparations for a second bow against the Warriors of Zimbabwe next month.
The list includes Swindon Town FC goalkeeper Jojo Wallocott – a 26-year-old shot stopper earning his first International call up to the black stars.
Asante Kotoko youngster and U-20 African champion Danlad Ibrahim makes a return to the squad while Arsenal stalwart Thomas Partey who missed the games against Ethiopia and South Africa returns after recovering from an ankle injury that kept him out of action for the opening stages of the new season. Another returnee is Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Mohammed Kudus having recovered from injury.
Fiorentina ace Joseph Alfred Duncan also makes a return to the squad having missed out on a call up for almost a year for varied reasons. Turkey based forward Benjamin Tetteh who plays for Yeni Malatyaspor has also been handed a call up by the Serbian tactician.
Ghana will the Warriors of Zimbabwe in the next round of qualifiers on Saturday, October 9,2021 at the Cape Coast stadium on match day three of the qualifiers before traveling to Harare on 12th October 2021 for the reverse fixture.
