Sensational Musician, Michael Adangba has rejected the title, honorable as he does not consider it honorable to bear such a title.
In Ghana and most countries practicing western democratic governance, the title honorable is conferred on people who hold key political positions including ministers, governors and lawmakers. Some of these public office holders particularly in Africa get offended if you address them without the title.
The title is so revered that even people who do not occupy such offices get excited when they are addressed as honorable and thus, if you want to get on someone’s good side then addressing them as honorable will be the best way.
But this does not seem to be the case with musician, Michael Adangba as he sees it as denigrating to be addressed as such.
Introducing the musician on Dreamz FM’s entertainment show, The Weekend Plug-in on Sunday, host of the show, Lexis addressed him as “honorable”.
But Michael Adangba, in response, rejected the title, stating that “I don’t like that name at all. It is like you are calling me a thief if you refer to me as honorable. I don’t want to be called honorable. Just called me Adangba”.
