A National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress Sofo Azorka has ordered an attack on persons collating data for the New Patriotic Party in some constituencies.
According to him, the governing NPP and by extension persons acting on behalf of the party in the data collation exercise have no mandate to do so because they are not the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
Mr. Azorka is seen in a video addressing some cheering supporters of the NDC while holding a book belonging to the Nasara wing of the NPP.
He instructed that anyone seen within the community in possession of that book and writing names of voters should be dealt with.
“If you see anybody in your community, holding this book, going round and writing our people’s names, don’t let him go free,” he ordered.
He added “They are not Electoral Commission. I say if you see anybody going round with this book, collecting voter ID cards and writing names, masa you should do what?” He questioned. The jubilant supporters responded in chorus “finish am.”
Meanwhile, sources within the New Patriotic Party have confirmed that the book is a property of the party used to collate names and data of members of the Nasara Wing.
