Broadcast journalist with GhOne TV, Serwaa Amihere says she has, for years, had to endure gross abuse and malicious falsehood perpetrated against her.
In a post on social, the broadcast journalist asserted that some individuals who are bent on unjustly destroying her reputation have been leading slanderous allegations against her solely to distract her and caused public disaffection for her.
But she has, over the years, remained focused and unmoved by such malicious allegations and has never made any attempt to address such issues or the individuals involved as that would be helping their course.
This, she stated, has made her stronger and resilient in the public space.
“I have endured years of abuse and malicious lies. All these years, I’ve learnt not to argue with people who try to destroy the reputation of others unjustly. Far from distracting me, they have made me stronger,” she stated.
The broadcast journalist said this in reaction to alleged leaked sex tape of her and some politicians which has gone viral on social media.
The purported sex tape involving her and the politicians surfaced on social media after Abena Korkor formerly of TV3 accused her of having sex escapades with top politicians and infecting them with STDs. She has since become the talk of town, trending on various social media platforms particularly on microblogging platform, Twitter.
While some social media users have taken her on and in some cases, used unprintable words on her for allegedly living a promiscuous life, others have condemned individuals behind such allegations and urged her to take legal action against them.
Reacting to the matter, Serwaa Amihere expressed gratitude to those who have reached out to her in the midst of the allegations and trolls on social media to show concern.
“To the many who have reached out to show concern, I’m most grateful” she added in the post.
