There was commotion on popularly entertainment show, United Showbiz on Twi-speaking TV station, UTV last night as one of the panelist, Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A-Plus yelled insults and nearly threw punches at radio presenter, Halifax Ansah-Addo who was also a panelist on the show.
A-Plus, who is a musician and a politician, got infuriated when Halifax questioned him about his absence at the #FixTheCountry demonstration. Halifax, who was not pleased with A-Plus’s description of the #FixTheCountry demonstration as keep-fit exercise, questioned him why he did not participate in the protest since the issues the #FixTheCountry campaigners are demanding to be addressed affect his many followers.
His query, however, did not sit well with the outspoken politician who started using demeaning words on him. Halifax then demanded that A-Plus desist from using such words as they are disparaging to him.
But his demand infuriated A-Plus even more as he yelled insults and more disparaging words including words forbidden on such a media platform at the radio presenter and threatened to beat him.
A-Plus could not understand why Halifax, who himself did not partake in the demonstration, would attempt to tag him as traitor.
Artiste Manager, Bull Dog had to intervene to foil a near exchange of fisticuffs when A-Plus left his seat and made his way to where Halifax was sitting and almost threw a punch at him.
The host, who seemed to have lost control of his show, eventually took control, calming tempers and subsequently demanded an apology from A-plus for his usage of abusive and vulgar words on the platform.
