Tamale-based rapper, Fuseini Abdul-Aziz known by his stage S.K.Y de Tamale Boy has died.
The rapper is said to have died on the evening of Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Tamale Teaching Hospital where he was receiving treatment after involving in a gory accident around a place known as Agric in Tamale in the wee hours of the same day.
S.K.Y at the peak of his career gained national attention with his hit song ‘Informa’, the video of which featured legendary rapper, Obrafuor.
Prior to his death, he had hinted on social media of staging a strong comeback after going off the music scenes for a while.
He is said to have performed at a show in Chereponi in the North East Region where he thrilled fans with his numerous hit songs on Eid-ul Adha day which was celebrated in Tamale on Wednesday.
Entertainers particularly those based in Tamale including Fancy Gadam have since taken to social media to mourn the death of the prolific rapper whom many had likened to one of Africa’s best rapper, Sarkodie.
