High-life and afrobeats singer, Kidi says he is going to win ‘Artiste of the Year’ award by hook or crook.
Speaking at the 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) being held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), the ‘touch it’ hitmaker asserted that he worked hard in the year under review and had a lot of people dancing to his songs hence, he is deserving of the coveted award and must be awarded accordingly.
Kidi has been nominated in the ‘Artiste of the Year’ category alongside his label mate; Kuame Eugene, Medikal, Adina, Sarkodie and Diana Hamilton. He, therefore, has to beat all of these artiste in order to pick up the coveted award.
The 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has been scheduled for two nights instead of the usual one night show as result of Covid-19 induced restrictions. The first award night was held on Friday, June 25, 2021 with a number of artistes winning awards in various categories. The last batch of awards including ‘Artiste of the Year’ will be presented tonight.
