Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of McDan Group of Companies, Dr. Daniel McKorley believes Ghanaians particularly the youths are unable to make it in life because they are not making enough strives.
According to Dr. Daniel McKorley, Ghana is full of economic opportunities but the youths have failed to adopt the right attitudes and make strenuous efforts to take advantage of these opportunities that will fetch them the needed income and improve their economic conditions.
He said for one to be successful in life, they will need to have the right attitudes which include patience, humility and readiness to serve under others to enable them gather the skills and experience required to run any business venture.
With these attitudes, Dr. McKorley is certain that the youths of Ghana will have no difficulty in achieving their dreams and aspirations as well as living a comfortable life.
He, however, noted that most young men and women in the country lack such important attitudes hence, the difficulties they face day in, day out to make ends meet.
“Young guys of these days are not patient and they are not ready to serve and they want to be rich as at yesterday and that is a big problem. They want it quick. It is not so difficult but to start the right business and to grow successful, the secret is attitude. As I keeping saying and I will always say, if you want to be successful, 70 percent depends on your attitude, 25 percent is your skills and 5 percent, your knowledge.
So if you don’t have the right attitude, how do expect to be rich? So young men who want to establish businesses should be ready to serve and learn. There is too much money out there. I can just walk on the streets and sweep a lot of money. But you need the right attitude embedded in it some level of integrity and some level of humility and workmanship,” he stated in an interview on JoyNews TV.
The business mogul is, therefore, urging the country’s youths to wake up from their slumbers and take advantage of the numerous opportunities available in the country by developing the right attitudes.
“Young men are sleeping too much and they are living too big. They need to wake up,” he added.
