The Upper East is still in a league of four regions that have no active cases of COVID-19 as of August 12, 2020.
This is according to the Ghana Health Service in its latest release on Ghana’s case load and performance on COVID-19 response and recoveries.
The other three regions which do not currently have active cases are Upper West, Savannah and North East regions, all in the north of Ghana.
Meanwhile, the Greater Accra region continues to stay in the lead and currently has 766 active cases.
The Ghana Health Service has also revealed that eight more deaths were recorded, pushing Ghana’s COVID-19 death toll to 223.
