Chief Executive Officer of Charger Limited, Producers of Happyman Bitters, Dr Emmanuel Bortey Borketey has debunked claims that the company has pitched camp with certain personalities and event organizers and therefore are selective in their partnership or sponsorship deals.
He indicated that his company supports innovative events that are geared towards the benefits of the masses and not private individual interests.
According to him, due processes like vetting of Proposals and interview meetings are usually followed to arrive at partnership or sponsorship deals for deserving event organizers and entities.
Speaking on the AM Drive on Bolgatanga based Yem Radio hosted by DJ K.I, Mr Bortey Borketey said “We are not selective in deciding who we want to sponsor or who we want to partner.”
Dr. Borketey was reacting to publications that suggest the Company has pitched camp with an identifiable group of people and are not open to new partnerships from less known events organizers.
“When you present a proposal to Charger Limited, we will engage you, interview you, sit down and see, ask questions. How is your event going to benefit people and not you? The social life of the event and the impact it will have on less privileged or the vulnerable people in the society. So through that engagement, you should be able to convince us that going forward this is how the program is going to be like. Because we look at the event and see how it is going to be in the future and not to be a nine day wonder. So our doors are open for impactful events,“ he noted.
Meanwhile the company through it’s widely accepted Happyman Bitters and other products like Onaapo Atadwe Ginger Liquor has headlined the sponsorship of many events across Ghana including this year’s TV3 Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant, Miss Volta Region, Miss Upper East Ghana, Community Soccer Galas, Music Awards Ceremonies among others.
Touching on the role of Happyman Bitters at this Year’s Miss Upper East Ghana organized by Ayelbis Events, the cheerful CEO announced that winners of the contest will join colleague winners of another event in Togo to embark on an all-expense paid trip to Dubai and back.
He also disclosed the Company’s readied plan to introduce into the West African Market their new line of nonalcoholic drinks which will include Apple, Energy drink, Tamarind, Cola and others.
