A 40 year old security man of the Evergreen Gas Filling station at Ada Foah in the Ada East District of the Greater Accra Region has been murdered at post.
Kwerteh Kweitsu was found dead on the morning of Friday August 7, 2020 at the premises of the Gas Filling station.
Police sources say the incident was reported to the Kasseh Police Station by the manager of the filling station, Bright Mishiwo and a pump attendant of the station, Philip Djinesey.
According to police report, the pump attendant upon reporting to work on Friday morning discovered the lifeless body of the security man who was tied up with a cloth in one of the rooms.
Following a report filed by the fuel station manager and the pump attendant, a police patrol team was dispatched to the scene and “found the lifeless body of the security man, Akwerteh Kweitsu.”
Police say the perpetrators of the crime had tied up the deceased’s legs, his hands to his back and his nose with pieces of rags before allegedly killing him.
Checks at the premises and crime scene revealed the unidentified persons behind the gruesome murder of the 40 year old broke into the manager’s office through a metal gate and made away with a cash amount of Ghc 6,000 and a flat screen Television.
It stated however that further checks conducted around the area did not discover anything of evidential value.
The corpse has since been deposited at the Police Mortuary in Accra for preservation and autopsy.
