DR. BAWUMIA (MIDDLE) AT CONGREGATIONAL PRAYERS

Vice President Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia has admonished Muslims in Ghana and around the world to replicate the values of sacrifice and selflessness as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.

In his goodwill message to muslims on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha, the Vice President recounted the life lived by the holy prophet which he noted should be the guiding principle for all Ghanaians.

“On this special occasion, I urge all muslims and all Ghanaians to imbibe the values demonstrated by prophet Ibrahim in our everyday lives towards humanity, our family and our nation,” he admonished.

Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia recalled the inspiring story, obedience, sacrifice and selflessness of prophet Ibrahim who was ordered by God to sacrifice his only beloved son and he obeyed without question the command.

He noted that the exemplary gesture of the prophet, must be exuded by all Ghanaians in the march towards nation building.

He added “Let us continue to pray for His sustenance. For the first time in recent history, the hajj is being performed on a limited bases in the holy land. As the hajj performance is ongoing, the rest of us observed our fasting and supplication in accordance with the teachings of the holy prophet. Let us take opportunity of the blessings this special occasion brings and remember our country Ghana and our loved ones in prayers.”

Dr. Bawumia “reiterated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s continuous effort at building an inclusive nation to alleviate the suffering of the poor and deprived through pragmatic policies which leave no one behind, such as Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, One Village One Dam, Ambulances, One Constituency One Million Dollars, National Identification.”
