The Minister of Information and Member of Parliament for Ofoasi-Ayirebi constituency, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has congratulated self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale on the release of the official video for Beyonce’s “already” song on which he is featured.

The politician in a post on social media to congratulate the ‘SM for Life’ boss stated that the musician has made Ghana proud with his feature on the American superstar’s ‘Black Is King’ visual album.

“Congratulation man. You’ve made Ghana proud. Shatta Wale(Shatta movement).” He posted on his social media handles.

Beyoncé released visuals for her “already” song which featured the Ghanaian musician on July 31, 2020.

The much anticipated video is off her ‘Black Is King’ visual album which is a visual album for her ‘Lion King: the Gift’ music album released in 2019. The ‘Black Is King’ visual album was directed, written and executive produced by Beyoncé herself. The visual album which is said to be feast of fashion and symbolism includes full length videos for songs from her music album including “my power”, “ Brown Skin Girl,” “Mood 4 Eva” and “already” which features Shatta Wale.

The “already” video which was published on Beyonce’s official YouTube page prior to the release of the entire visual album has scenes from Ghana and the United States of America.

Even before the video was released, Ghanaians took to social media to celebrate the dancehall king with most describing the feature and his appearance on the song and its video as epic moment for the Ghanaian music industry.

The 2014 VGMA artiste of the year took to his social media when the video was released to show his appreciation to the American music diva for her belief in his talent and offering him opportunity to showcase same. There have been congratulatory messages from Ghanaians and his colleague musicians including Stonebwoy and Sarkodie.

His friend turned ‘enemy’ Sarkodie while congratulating him described the feature as a ‘big moment’ for Ghana.
