Former Member of Parliament for the Zebilla Constituency Cletus Avoka is set to return to parliament after winning the parliamentary elections of the constituency in the 2020 polls.
The former majority leader beat incumbent member of parliament Frank Adongo Fuseini by polling 33,616 votes against the New Patriotic Party MP who got 15,997.
Hon Cletus Avoka first became Member of Parliament in 1993, except from 2004-2008 when he lost to Lawyer John Akparibo Ndebugre of the People’s National Congress (PNC).
He made a comeback and reclaimed the seat in the 2008 elections and proceeded to win in the 2012 elections. He however lost the bid in 2016, making it his second defeat in the political history of the constituency.
