The Paramount Chief of Sakoti Traditional Area, Naba Sigri Bewong has admonished voters to exhibit good behavior that c delivers a peaceful election on the 7th of December, 2020.
Calls for a violence free election have intensified as the country counts down days to the polls.
The former President of the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs who joined calls for peaceful election charged voters to leave the polling station after casting their votes and return to witness the country process if they so wish.
“After casting your vote, leave the polling station. Don’t hang around. You can go back to work or home and return to witness when counting starts,” he said in an interview with Bolgatanga based Dreamz fm.
Naab Sigri Bewong explained that the 2020 Tenglebgre festival is celebrated under the theme “Peaceful Election 2020,” in order to drum home the need for a peaceful election.
