AKBAR YUSSIF ROHULLAH KHOMEINI

Presidential staffer and a Deputy Communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP), Akbar Yussif Rohullah Khomeini has debunked claims by lawyer John Akparibo Ndebugre that President Akufo-Addo has no northerners in his office, asserting that Mr Ndebugre told a blatant lie with his “tribalistic” comment.

Mr Ndebugre, respected for his legal knowledge, had reportedly said that Ghanaians from northern Ghana have not been employed in the President’s office. He had noted that except for the Vice President’s office, the seat of government would have had no northerners. But Mr Khomeini has described the assertions as false and tribalistic, stressing that supporters of Mr Ndebugre’s claims do not know the facts.

“Now, let me even ignore the tribal slant by Nde and deal with his claim since his partisan followers say he stated the facts. Nde says when you go to the Jubilee House you hardly see Nuhu, Ibrahim, Abugre, Akagre unless you go to Bawumia’s side,” Mr Khomeini stated.

He went on to provide evidence of northerners in the President’s office, who work directly under the President.

“This is a lie told by him. In the President’s office, three of the names mentioned by Nde are right there and very instrumental in running the President’s office. In the President’s office, we have Hamida Nuhu, a distinguished lawyer from Wa, we have Ibrahim and we have Abugre, a trained Journalist from Upper East.

Aside these names, we have Abu another distinguished lawyer from Savannah. We have Fawaz, a diplomat from Tamale, we have Napaga Tia from Nantong, Fati Abubakar from Garu, Mr. Mahamoud, Ambassador Hassan, Fataiya from Tamale and many others.

So how could he be so untruthful like this?” He wondered.

The names provided by Mr Khomeni are indeed staff of the President and their origins have been verified as true by this website.
