Member of Parliament(MP) for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, has described himself as fit to be appointed Cabinet Minister not merely a Deputy Minister of Finance as suggested by some people.
While speaking on Zuarungu-based Word FM Thursday 22, 2020, a listener described him as an incoming Deputy Finance Minister should the National Democratic Congress(NDC) win, but Mr Adongo retorted that he was Cabinet Minister material, adding that even though he is looking beyond a deputy ministerial position, it would not be out of place if he is appointed a deputy minister.
Mr Adongo noted that his depth of knowledge and experience make him fit to be part of the President’s ministers that make key decisions for the country.
“I am looking beyond deputy ministerial position…I am Cabinet Minister material. But if I am appointed as a Deputy Minister, it will not be out of place,” he noted.
Mr Adongo is generally considered as extremely knowledgeable in the areas of Economics and Finance. His commentary on the economy and his criticism of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s have earned him respect from the public.
Others have found his way of criticism as abrasive. Notwithstanding, he is generally considered brilliant and eloquent.
