Deputy General Secretary of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Peter Boamah Otokunor has stated that the party’s number two position on the presidential ballot paper confirms the second coming of former President John Mahama, stressing that the NDC had been praying for the second position on the ballot paper.
Speaking after the balloting for positions on the ballot, Mr Otokunor noted that the NDC will find it easy to market the number two position on the ballot paper.
Meanwhile the governing New Patriotic party (NPP) has picked number one, which party activists say means victory for the NPP.
Mr John Boadu, General Secretary of the NPP, stressed that the number one position points to the first position of the party in terms of the implementation of pro-poor policies and social interventions. He emphasized that every pro-poor policy or social intervention has been implemented by the NPP.
Other presidential candidates have interpreted their position to mean victory for them.
For Hassan Ayariga, the number 7 is a number of perfection that will win him the presidency.
