The 2024 Meehiboug Youth Gala delivered an unforgettable football spectacle, culminating in a tense and electrifying final that saw Meehiboug triumph over Kontitabo with a narrow 1-0 victory. The championship goal not only secured Meehiboug’s win but also etched another chapter into the history of one of the most competitive youth football tournaments in the region.

For their prize,  took home a set of jerseys, football and an amount of 1,000 cedis in addition to lifting the trophy.

Kontitabo received 600 cedis as their prize for finishing second while Logre FC that came third received 2,500 cedis.

The following individual were honored for their outstanding performance in the competition;
Player of the Tournament: Dong Innocent a.k.a. Zola (Kontitabo FC)
Top Scorers: Bugbil Richard (Estate Lions) and Dong Innocent (Kontitabo FC)
Best Goalkeeper: Magnet (Meehiboug)
Goalkeeper of the Tournament: Abdallah
Midfielder of the Tournament: Naab Emmanuel (Estate Lions)

Since its inception in 2008, the Meehiboug Youth Gala has grown into a celebrated platform for discovering young football talent and fostering community spirit. Over more than a decade of consistent organization, it has nurtured budding footballers, many of whom have gone on to excel in professional circuits.

The 2024 edition continued this rich tradition of competitive excellence and sportsmanship, drawing enthusiastic fans and fostering camaraderie among teams and supporters alike.

With its unwavering commitment to youth development and community engagement, the Meehiboug Youth Gala remains a beacon of hope for grassroots football in the Talensi and Nabdam districs , offering young players the opportunity to shine and pursue their dreams.

The occasion was graced by a number of distinguished personalities including Demzoya Yendork, Sub-chief of Meehiboug; Sackzolib Nagbire, Sub-chief’s elder; Pastor Samuel Dagahit Naoh, Head Pastor Meehiboug Fountain Chapel and Isaac Wulug, Assemblyman of Zanlerigu-Dagliga Electoral Area.
