Reggae Musician cum Radio Presenter, Abubakar Ahmed popularly known as Blakk Rasta has taken a swipe at Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over his incessant criticism of former President John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking on a show hosted by him on Accra based Zylofon FM, Blakk Rasta opined that the utterances of the vice president smack of non-seriousness as a Second Gentleman of the land and ridicules the high office he occupies.

The reggae musician was reacting to a publication attributed to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. The vice president in the publication is said to have chastised former president Mahama stating that the former president’s “incompetence” in managing the country is a known fact.

But Blakk Rasta who appeared displeased with the vice president’s comments expressed his disappointment over Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s constant criticism of John Dramani Mahama intimating that the vice president has neglected discourse on issues of national interest and focused on criticizing the NDC’s flagbearer.

In his view, Dr. Bawumia is fast losing his grounds, stating that he only makes it to the news headlines when he verbally attacks Mr. Mahama.

“How many people agree with me that Dr. Bawumia is all of sudden is becoming a comedian? How many people? It looks like all he talks about is Mahama. Anytime he has to say something in the news, it has to be Mahama,” he said.

Blakk Rasta argued that, though former president Mahama’s administration was corrupt and had shown sheer incompetence in managing the affairs of the state, the current administration led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and assisted by Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated that it is more incompetent and corrupt than the Mahama’s administration.

“In fact, if it is incompetence, Mahama is one of the most incompetent, most corrupt but Nana Addo is the great grandfather of Mahama,” he stated.
