Head of News at Dreamz FM, Nicholas Nambirigya Azebire has bagged a nomination for the third edition of the Upper East Regional Ghana Journalists Association Awards.
Nicholas Azebire is among 9 journalists in the region, who have been nominated for the event slated for September 6, 2024 at Blue Sky Hotel in Zuarungu.
In a statement dated August 16, Regional GJA Chairman, William Nlanjerbor Jalulah indicated that, “In all, fourteen (14) categories including the Journalist of The Year will be up for grabs on the night”
He congratulated the nominees and wish them well on the night.
Further, Mr. Jalulah expressed gratitude to the Awards Vetting Committee chaired by revered educationist Prof. David Millar.
This will be the third time the Regional Chapter of GJA will hold such an event to recognize the hard work and contribution of journalists in the region to Ghana’s development.
At the last edition of the awards, Nicholas Azebire won 3 wards including Most Promising Journalist in the region.
State of Our Nation, a current affairs show on Dreamz FM, was also adjudged Programme of the Year.
