The Overlord of Bawku, Zugran Bogrago Azoka II has urged the Flag bearer  of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama, to feel at home as he begins his tour of the Upper East Region in the Kusaug zone.

In a speech read on his behalf by his secretary David Adoliba, the overlord of Bawku stated that the visit of Mr. Mahama in succession within a short period is an indication of his humility and desire to develop the Kusaug zone.

He called on Mr. Mahama to promote unity and national cohesion adding, he should prioritize the construction of a government hospital to serve as a major referral center.

Apart from the hospital, he called for the conversion of the Savannah Agric Research Center in Bawku into a public university.

“If you are re-elected on December 7, 2024, I kindly request that you prioritize the development of our kingdom’s infrastructure particularly the construction of a government hospital to serve as a major referral centre,” he stated.

“Besides this, the Savannah Agric Research Centre which has supported our farmers for so many decades now qualifies to become a university for Agric Research”.

He stated that he firmly believes the former President will be heavily rewarded for his generosity and vision for the entire nation.

“The numerous developmental projects that were initiated by the NDC under your leadership have left an indelible mark in Kusaug. It’s my firm belief that the people of Kusaug will reward you adequately for your generosity and vision for our nation’s growth and prosperity.”

He decried economic hardship as he explained that the leadership of Mr. Mahama injects hope among Ghanaians.
