A fresh controversy has emerged in the Talensi Constituency, with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) accusing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of stealing their idea to convert the yet-to-be-completed Yameriga E-Block into a Training College.
According to Zinekena Solomon T.T.B, a regional communication member of the NDC, the idea was conceived by their Parliamentary Candidate, who had already begun negotiations with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to bring the project to fruition.
TTB claimed that the NDC Parliamentary Candidate had shared his vision with the Paramount Chief of the Talensi Traditional Area, Tongraan Kugbilsong Nanlebegtang, during a courtesy call, and received a positive welcome.
However, they were shocked to hear that the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, had announced the same idea during his recent campaign tour in the constituency.
“This is a clear indication that Bawumia is bereft of ideas,” TTB stated on Dreamz Breakfast Today Program, accusing the NPP of intellectual theft.
The NDC, TTB said, will continue its efforts to rescue the country, reiterating its commitment to deliver on its promise to enhance educational prospects in the constituency and Ghana as a whole, including the conversion of the E-Block into a Training College.
