Pastor David Akurigu of the Christ Church noted that the event at the newly established Soe CHPS Compound formed part of efforts to create awareness about the facility being functional and readily available to provide the needed care.
“It started with the head pastor of Real Life Ministry adopting a boy from Vea and decided to also adopt the community and so they have been supporting the school with food, clothing, and footwear. Every two years, they come for the medical mission. We decided to do three days in Vea and two days in Soe and the assemblyman has been instrumental and pleaded that we also do the screening at the Soe CHPS Compound so that people will know about the facility.” He stated.
The Assembly Member for Soe-Yipaala Electoral Area, Justice Aduko, expressed delight over the patronage which achieves the aim of promoting the CHPS Compound.
He disclosed that some equipment will be left for the facility use as they hope to receive support from them to set up a laboratory.
