HOME FOOD RESTAURANT IN UPPER EAST

Home Food Restaurant, an eatery located in the heart of Bolgatanga has commenced operations with a commitment to prepare healthy and balanced food for residents and visitors.

Apart from the readiness to prepare healthy meals for residents and provide a great environment to complement, Home Food Restaurant has dedicated 50pesewas from every purchased plate of food to support the Hemodialysis Dialysis Center at the Upper East Regional Hospital.

There are ongoing efforts to have a dialysis center, which is in the advanced stages, operationalized in the Upper East Region after an initial public appeal for support to establish the facility.

The innovative move to support the center aligns right with Home Food’s mission to provide balanced and nutrient-rich foods that would ensure healthier lives as they seek to serve the public with non-fatty food.

In an executive environment, Home Food will from Monday to Sunday serve various meals without bottled drinks widely known as soft drinks. Rather, patrons will be served with natural fruit blends and vegetables directly from their farm that organically grows those vegetables and fruits.

Operators of the restaurant hold the view that many of the carbonated drinks are the major causes of lifestyle-related diseases hence the departure from serving such drinks to serving specially and freshly prepared juices.

Speaking in an interview with Dreamz News, the Director of Home Food Restaurant, Dominic Abakuri, explained that he is aware it is expensive to run a dialysis center thus, the need to constantly support the center.

According to him, the restaurant is going naturally to support the health of people and as it does so, there is the need to support the center to deal with the running cost of managing kidney diseases.

Mr. Abakuri noted that for as long as the restaurant operates and gets patronized, every plate of food will have a component that goes to the regional hospital.

“Kidneys are a major problem because of our lifestyle and we have realized that we need to do something about the disease now someone has taken the initiative to bring a center to Bolga and we need to sustain it because it is expensive to run it. So, we think that it should not just be about profit but we think that we should give back to the community. If you are eating here, know that you equally helping to cater to kidney patients. And as long as the center is there and we also get patronized, we will continue to support them. “He stressed.
